Has anyone else looked into the environmental conditions around Tadoule Lake during late September of 1979? I've been digging through some old weather records and it seems like temperatures could drop pretty significantly out there, not to mention it could've been pretty damp with some early seasonal snowflakes. Given how treacherous those conditions can be, it's a wonder how search efforts were managed back then with limited resources and tech. Just makes me think about what kind of clothing or gear Adolphe Thorassie might have had on him and whether even the slightest deviation from his planned path could have led to dire consequences. Nature around Tadoule Lake is as beautiful as it is unforgiving, especially if someone were to get lost or injured out there. Trying to put together more pieces to understand what might have happened. Anyone else have thoughts on the impact of weather and terrain?
