Hey everyone, I came across an intriguing part of Melanie Joy Thomson's case that hasn't been talked about much. Apparently, Melanie was quite the tech expert and had a significant background in IT. She worked for Bell Canada developing secure computer firewalls before her life took a different turn. The thing that stood out to me is how someone with such a secure job and specific skill set could end up in a completely different life situation in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. There's got to be more to the story about why she left it all behind. Did she face any particular challenges within the tech world, or did something happen that made her want to disappear voluntarily for a time without notice? It's also curious how someone with her computer skills left such a minimal digital footprint after she went missing. Does anyone else have any thoughts on how her IT background might be relevant to her disappearance, or if this skill set might have allowed her to change identities more easily given her known aliases? Just some food for thought in our quest to bring light to this case.
