Hey everyone, I was reading through the old case of Ardavan Taherzadeh and something struck me that I hadn't really seen discussed much. Has anyone else thought about the travel culture back in the late 90s and how it might have played into his disappearance? I mean, it was a time when the internet wasn't as ubiquitous as today, and staying in communication was a lot more difficult.
I remember from my own travels back then that you'd rely so much on word-of-mouth advice from other travelers and locals, especially in remote areas like the Parvati Valley. I wonder if Ardavan could have followed a lead from another traveler about a spot to visit that wasn't widely known or safe? There were a lot of places touted as "hidden gems" back then, but they didn't always turn out to be the safest.
Plus, considering that area had a 'hippie trail' kind of vibe, with people coming and going often, could it be possible that he just blended into that scene for longer than expected before something happened? Just some thoughts as we try to piece together more about Ardavan's story. Would love to hear what others think or if anyone has come across similar situations while traveling.
