I've been looking into the disappearance of Shawn Constantin Smith, and one thing that I find particularly puzzling is the lack of information on whether there were any active searches conducted immediately after he went missing. From what I’ve read, it seems like there is no mention of search efforts or rescue operations in the immediate aftermath, especially considering Punta Cana is such a well-frequented tourist area. You would think that a missing person's case, particularly involving a foreign national, would prompt a well-documented response. Does anyone know if local authorities or embassies were involved in any immediate search efforts when he was first reported missing? It seems odd that, in a place with so many visitors, someone could disappear without more coverage of search and rescue activities being organized. Did anyone come across any details about these efforts, or is this another case where the lack of records only adds to the mystery?
