Has anyone else been following the DeMarcus Scott case? I've been thinking about the impact this has had on the Pine Bluff community. It's truly devastating to see such a tragic event end a long period without homicides in the area. I can't begin to imagine the pain his family and friends must be going through right now. I also find it troubling how young both DeMarcus and the suspect, David Burnett, are. At 22 and 20, they both had their whole lives ahead of them. It's baffling how quickly things can change and escalate to such a heartbreaking situation. I really hope the community can come together to support DeMarcus's loved ones and work towards preventing future violence. My thoughts are with everyone affected.
