Hey everyone, I've been digging into the case of Lee Vrba and Robert Rudish, and there's an aspect I find particularly intriguing that hasn't been discussed much. The canoe was found overturned on June 17th, but what strikes me is the lack of any personal items or evidence on the shoreline or nearby areas after the incident. These guys were experienced outdoorsmen, which makes me wonder if they had any emergency gear that might've floated away in the chaos. Could it be possible that some gear or personal items washed ashore but went unnoticed due to how remote the area is? I wonder if there's anyone familiar with Island Lake back in the '70s who might have insights into the post-incident searches or if the surrounding terrain made finding clues especially challenging.
