I came across a detail in Gaétan Rodier's disappearance that seems overlooked. Does anyone know if there were any weather warnings on December 23rd, 1992, for Lake Temiskaming? I read that weather conditions can shift dramatically, creating sudden weak spots on the ice. It's baffling how his snow machine was found but not him. If the conditions turned quickly, it might explain why he couldn't find his way to safety. I wonder if locals recall any unusual weather patterns from that day or if it was just an unpredictable tragedy waiting to happen. It haunts me thinking about how a beautiful day can turn dangerous so quickly.
