Norman Michael Ritchie was 16 when he vanished after a boating accident on Georgian Bay near Cove Island, off Tobermory, Ontario. On September 29, 1979, he was a passenger in a 16-foot cedar strip boat that suddenly capsized. Five other occupants were recovered, but Norman was not found.

Described as slender with brown hair and hazel eyes, he was 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 139 pounds. A distinctive physical detail is that he had webbed toes on both feet. The official response concluded he likely drowned, but his body was never recovered and he remains listed as missing.

Does anyone have memories of that day on the Bruce Peninsula or information that might explain what happened to Norman?
