Does anyone else find it alarming how gun violence seems to have gripped parts of our communities lately? I’m still thinking about Keion Wiley’s case and how senseless the violence was that took his life. From what I understand, it was initially reported as a drive-by shooting, which makes it all the more terrifying for the people living in that West Jefferson Avenue area. I can't imagine how the folks there are feeling—probably a mix of fear and anger. It's somewhat reassuring to hear that the West Memphis Police Department is actively working on this case and that they've already made an arrest. Shoutout to the Memphis PD for their help, too. But I wonder what could have driven someone to commit such an act and if we'll ever know the full story. This isn’t just a statistic; Keion was someone's son, friend, and a valuable part of the community. Thinking of his family, especially. Let’s hope anyone with any information steps up to help bring them some closure.

I've been following the case of Keion Wiley's tragic death, and it's been really affecting to see how much his community has come together to remember him. One thing that stood out to me was the overwhelming show of support at his funeral and visitation. From what some friends have shared online, the memorial was not just a chance to mourn but also a celebration of Keion's life and the kind of person he was. It's clear that Keion was deeply loved and respected, and the impact he had on those around him was significant. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends must be experiencing, but it's heartening to see people rallying around them during such a difficult time. It’s also been amazing to see how the community has been using this tragedy as a moment to call for changes in how we tackle gun violence. Hopefully, with everyone coming together like this, we can prevent such senseless acts from happening again. Thoughts and prayers go out to Keion's loved ones. If anyone has more info or resources on community events being held in his memory, please share!
