I've been thinking a lot about the tragic case of Madison Staker, and something that's been weighing on my mind is the role of bystanders in situations of domestic violence. From what I've read, there were witnesses who had heard Garrett Gorsch make threats against Madison. It makes me wonder if there's more we, as a community, can do in these situations. It's deeply concerning to think about how these warning signs were present and yet Madison didn't get the help she needed. I know hindsight is 20/20, but maybe more awareness and education about the signs of domestic abuse could empower people to intervene or report their concerns more effectively. My heart goes out to Madison’s family – her parents, Brent, and the rest of her loved ones – who are now left to navigate this unimaginable loss. What do you all think?
