Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the strange disappearance of Martin McLearn and found myself puzzled about the footwear aspect. I've read that Martin was last seen wearing his old and cracked rubber boots, and I can't help but wonder about this detail. Given that he had moderate dementia, is there a possibility he might have recognized the discomfort and decided to take them off while wandering? If so, wouldn't there have been traces or a trail they could have followed? It just seems odd that no sign of him was found, especially if those boots were as cumbersome as described. I’m curious if there might have been an oversight in checking nearby footpaths or any areas where he might have sought comfort by removing them. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts or if anyone has other insights or theories about this aspect. Stay safe, and keep sleuthing!
