Has anyone else been struck by the weather conditions reported on the evening when Clifford McKell went missing? It seems like both the witness and the search team mentioned how rough the water was that day. I can't help but wonder if the severity of the conditions was underestimated by Clifford and his friend. Were there any weather advisories issued that day, or was it just a sudden change? It's heartbreaking to think that maybe they didn't realize the risk they were taking. This aspect makes me ponder how many similar cases might have happened due to unexpected changes in weather, or how often such warnings weren't as readily communicated back in 1958. Would love to hear thoughts on how weather forecasting and communication have evolved since then, especially in remote areas like Snow Lake.
