Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic road rage incident that happened in Clearfield, Utah, and something that's really gnawing at me is the role of witnesses in these situations. There was at least one witness when the situation escalated into that fatal encounter between James Saccato and Justin Doman. I've been wondering about the immense pressure and trauma these witnesses might face. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to see such a situation unfold in front of you and then have to relive it during investigations and possibly even in court. It must take a lot of courage to come forward and provide a statement. I'm so appreciative of anyone who chooses to do so because they really do help ensure that the family of the victim, like James's niece Denise, can move towards some sense of closure and justice. Has anyone heard about what kind of support is given to these witnesses? And do you think more people would come forward if there were better systems in place to support them during the legal process? Would love to hear some thoughts.
