I’ve been reading through a lot about Camille Lessard’s case and can’t stop thinking about that tavern on Avenue Papineau and Sainte-Catherine Street East. It's intriguing how this spot was seemingly at the center of his routine. Does anyone have more info on what the vibe was in that area during the 70s? I wonder if there were any similar incidents around there at the time or if this was just a random occurrence. People who frequented the tavern might hold some missing pieces—willing or just unaware of what they remember. Maybe someone out there has a detail that seemed insignificant but could illuminate a new lead. It just baffles me how there are almost no breadcrumbs left to follow. Any insights on how neighborhoods changed after or how such cases were publicized back then might help us understand any missed opportunities in his case.
