Has anyone looked into the possibility that Jamie might have left the campground area by hitching a ride with someone passing by? It's something I've seen mentioned in other cases where someone disappears in a remote area. There were reports of that truck driver who might have given a lift to a young man around the same time, but it sounds like it was never thoroughly checked out? Given the location and time—especially given that his ID was found on the access road—could it be that he ended up with someone who wasn't camping there? I'm curious if there's been any follow-up on that angle with any local drivers. It's frustrating when leads don't get fully explored, particularly when time is so crucial. The tiniest details can sometimes crack a case open, so I hope this is something that's still on the radar for Jamie's family and the investigators.
What do you all think? Is it worth revisiting this avenue, perhaps getting in touch with transport companies or checking security footage from nearby gas stations or stops along major routes? Any insight or similar experiences in missing person cases would be valuable here.
