Came across Bill Dawson's story recently, and like many of you, I feel deeply for his loved ones. I've been particularly struck by the immense contributions he made to the community through his work with the Eastside Sox. Coaching takes not only skill but also a huge heart, and it sounds like Bill had both in abundance. It's inspiring to hear how he managed to balance such a committed role in baseball alongside his day job and his many outdoor interests. A lot of young players must have looked up to him, not just as a coach but as a mentor. I can't imagine what his family and his team must be going through, having lost someone who played such a pivotal role in their lives. Wishing strength and peace to the Dawson family and everyone who was touched by his life. If anyone has stories or memories of Bill from his coaching days, I'd love to read them. Sometimes those little anecdotes bring big comfort.
