I just wanted to share some thoughts about the Applebee's parking lot incident involving Chekesha Clark and Kalen Burgess. It breaks my heart to think about what must have been going through her mind that night. It's so chilling to think that something like this could happen in a place where families go to enjoy a meal together. It's a reminder of how domestic tensions can escalate into unimaginable violence. I truly feel for Chekesha’s family, especially her children, who have to grow up without their mother. This kind of tragedy is felt by the whole community, and it's so important we rally around the victims' families and support them in whatever ways we can. If anything positive can come from this, I hope it encourages more people to speak out and seek help if they are in a situation that feels unsafe. Violence should never be the answer. Stay safe, everyone, and keep those close to you even closer.
