I was revisiting Melvin Paul Hoel's case, and I can't help but wonder about the weather conditions around the time he went missing. May in Alberta can be pretty unpredictable. One moment it could be sunny, and the next, a sudden cold snap or storm can roll in. Could it be that the weather played a role, perhaps disorienting him or causing an accident? There seem to be few details about the exact conditions during his disappearance. Does anyone know if the search efforts were hindered by bad weather? It's frustrating when such factors aren't discussed much but they can be crucial when it comes to finding someone who vanished in the wilderness. Any thoughts or insights are much appreciated.
