Does anyone else find it puzzling how Robert's friends just emerged from the woods the next day without him, especially given the state they were in? I mean, if they were that disturbed and frightened, wouldn't they have at least tried to insist Robert come back with them or sent someone to get help sooner? I get it; they were scared kids too, but it seems odd to me. Has anyone ever come across more details on this argument they had over the campfire? Were any of the boys questioned further about Robert's whereabouts after they returned? This case has so many layers, and these parts never seemed to add up for me. Maybe someone from the area has some local insights or memories about any searches or follow-ups right after his disappearance. Would love to hear your thoughts.
