Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the William Aylmer Gorrie case for a while now, and something I find particularly puzzling is the total absence of the boat itself. It's been over 50 years, and not a single trace of the boat turned up? It just vanished at sea? I know lakes and bays can be vast, but doesn't it seem strange that no wreckage or even pieces have washed ashore at some point?
Has anyone else seen cases where both a person and their boat completely disappeared like this, leaving no trace at all? It’s almost like the boat just disappeared into thin air. With such an immediate search, I’d expect at least some parts of it would’ve been found, especially since aircraft were involved so soon after. Anyone here with maritime experience have thoughts on why nothing would surface after all this time?
I know the region's waters can be tricky, but this aspect just doesn’t sit right with me. Always hoping for more insights or theories from those more familiar with these dynamics.
