I still can't get my head around the fact that Anthony Williams is gone. He was so young and had his whole life ahead of him. I attended the funeral service at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, and it was a beautiful yet incredibly somber event. I noticed that so many people from our community came to support his family and honor his memory. Hearing the stories shared by his friends and family just broke me — they spoke about his love for basketball and how he was always the one trying to make everyone laugh. It's hard to imagine the pain his parents are going through right now, losing a child in such a senseless act of gun violence. I hope that our community can come together to support them during this difficult time and work towards making sure tragedies like this don't happen again. Sending love to everyone affected.
