I was rethinking Denis Chernov's case and something that really stands out to me is how someone can go unnoticed in Toronto for four years before being reported missing. I mean, it's a big city, and people lose touch, but four years is a long time. How did nobody realize sooner that he had vanished? Did he not have close friends or family actively looking for him? It just makes you wonder about the social connections (or the lack thereof) people have and how someone can just disappear without triggering alarm bells right away. It's not just about the missing person, but also about the system and society that allows these situations to slip through unnoticed. I'd love to hear what others think happened during those years he was off the radar.
