Does anyone know what measures were in place at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital to prevent patients from leaving unsupervised? Dawn's case is particularly troubling because it wasn't the first time she had left the hospital grounds to try and see her kids. I read that her belongings went missing too, which suggests there might have been a more thought-out plan behind her disappearance this time. It's disconcerting that such incidents weren't isolated and happened multiple times with different patients over the years. If anyone has insights into what protocols were in place at the time or how security was generally managed there, it could help understand how these disappearances could occur.
