Just thinking about Angela Linner and how she must have felt during those terrifying moments makes my heart ache. This random and senseless act of violence took not just her life but also the lives of two others, including a young girl who had so much life ahead of her. I can’t even begin to imagine what Angela's family, friends, and community went through, dealing with such a huge loss. It’s so alarming that the shooter, Aaron Juan Saucedo, slipped under the radar for so long. Makes you wonder how these patterns can sometimes be overlooked despite the clues and the warnings. These families were left in the dark for months, not knowing who was behind these atrocious acts. The fear and uncertainty they must have felt every single day is beyond understanding. Saucedo seemed like an ordinary guy—handled a bus route, for crying out loud. Yet, behind the facade, he was capable of something so horrifying. It's hard to wrap your head around it. We have to continue talking about Angela and others whose lives were stolen, ensure they are remembered, and push for continued vigilance in our communities to prevent such tragedies from happening again. Stay strong, everyone.

I’ve been thinking about the spot where Angela Linner, Stefanie Ellis, and young Maleah Ellis were tragically taken from us. The 6300 block of West Berkeley Road might appear like any other street during the day, but knowing what happened there sends chills down my spine. It's unimaginable to think that a place we see as home can be touched by such violence. I’ve heard that the neighborhood was really shaken and that local residents felt anxious just stepping outside during the time the serial shooter was active. I hope the families of Angela, Stefanie, and Maleah can find some comfort in knowing that the community was, and continues to be, so deeply affected by this, and that justice was eventually served. It’s important to remember these victims not just as case numbers, but as people who were loved and are missed. The resilience and support shown by the community in the wake of such a tragedy speak volumes. Let's continue to honor their memory by keeping these discussions going and supporting each other.
