Hey everyone, I've been looking into Delmer Paul Bonnetrouge's disappearance recently and couldn't help but focus on the extensive search efforts the community put in back in 2015. It’s truly remarkable to see how close-knit the Deh Gah Got'ie First Nation is and how they rallied together to try and find him. The fact that about 20 people took to the trails on ATVs and even did aerial searches really shows the dedication of those who knew him.
What stands out to me is how they checked remote cabins—a daunting task given the vastness of the area. These efforts were significant and must have been mentally and physically exhausting for everyone involved. As someone who's never been to the Northwest Territories, it's hard to even imagine the terrain and the challenge it posed to the searchers.
Just wondering if anyone here has experience with similar cases in rural areas? How do search parties typically maintain morale in such overwhelming circumstances, especially when days stretch into weeks without any leads? It must be so tough, especially under such emotionally charged conditions. Would love to hear your insights or any thoughts you might have on this angle.
