Has anyone considered the possibility of Craig having interacted with other campers or hikers at Tool Box Springs Campground just before he vanished? Given his love for camping and transient lifestyle, it’s likely he might have struck up conversations. If anyone remembers seeing or speaking with him during that time, it could provide vital clues. The timing of the Cranston Fire is worryingly close to when his vehicle was found, so I'm wondering if someone might have noticed him scrambling to leave or perhaps even helping others evacuate. Random encounters often prove crucial in missing person cases. Let’s not give up hope!
Has anyone else noticed how peculiar the timing is around Craig Finne's disappearance and the Cranston Fire? I’ve been following Craig’s case and, from what I’ve gathered, his car was found just a few days before the fire started. I’m wondering if the approaching fire might have spooked him into venturing somewhere else. But with his transient lifestyle and love for the outdoors, maybe he was already somewhere in Garner Valley when things turned sideways. It's unsettling that after such a massive search around the area, there still aren’t any leads. I think the fire definitely complicated search efforts and might have destroyed potential evidence. Might also explain why his case is proving so difficult. Just curious if anyone in the area remembers seeing Craig or hearing from him around that time?
Was reading about Craig Finne's disappearance and something really stands out to me: the timing of his vehicle being found. His car was discovered on July 22 at Tool Box Springs Campground, just a few days before the Cranston Fire started. I know it's been mentioned, but I wonder if anyone has any additional details on his usual camping spots or if he had any connections with other campers in the area? It's such a remote spot; makes me wonder if he'd planned to meet someone there or if it was just another stop along his travels. Maybe someone who regularly camps or hikes around Idyllwild might have seen him in the days leading up to July 21? Hoping those familiar with the area could offer some insights or theories.
