Has anyone else found it unusual that Curtis's disappearance wasn't reported for almost nine years? I can't stop thinking about what kind of circumstances could lead to such a delay. Was it because his family thought he was staying off the grid or possibly just living a transient lifestyle? Maybe they believed he was somewhere safe or had started over anew. I suspect there might be more to the story that hasn’t been shared publicly.
Considering his history of staying at shelters, it makes me wonder if records from those places might hold some clues. It's unfortunate that with so much time lost, it might be difficult to track down paper or digital records from that far back. I'm also curious if the Gallup Police have revisited shelters in both Gallup and Albuquerque to see if Curtis appears in any logs around that time. Every bit of information seems critical here, especially with such a long time having passed.
Anyone else have thoughts or theories on why the delay might have happened or what steps investigators could take given the timeline?
