I've been thinking a lot about Gonzalo Hernández's case, and it just breaks my heart for his friends and family. It's haunting to realize how little we actually know about the circumstances of his death. I understand that sometimes investigations take time, but the silence around it feels so heavy. For his loved ones, not having answers must be unbearable. What really resonates with me is the way the national gun violence memorial is giving people a space to remember him. I checked out the memorial page and saw all the virtual candles lit for him. Each candle is such a poignant act of remembrance and love. It's both beautiful and profoundly sad to see so many people coming together to honor his life. It really makes me appreciate the importance of community support in these situations. If the neighborhood or the city banded together to keep this in the spotlight, maybe it could drive some progress or uncover more information. At the very least, we can hope it brings some comfort to those who miss him every day. Sending love to everyone affected by this tragedy.
