It’s curious that Denise Maciel-Gontarek left behind her phone and ID when she disappeared. This feels intentional, like she didn’t want to be tracked or identified easily. It’s the kind of thing you’d expect in movies, but real life is so different. Has anyone else wondered if that suggests she left on her own? I know she was found, thankfully, but the way she vanished without her essentials has me wondering if she wanted to create a false trail or perhaps needed to disconnect from her current life. Would love to hear if anyone has similar thoughts or experiences!
