I just came across Hilario Mendoza's case and my heart goes out to his family, especially his kids. I've been reading about how dangerous it can be for taxi and rideshare drivers, and this is such a grim reminder of that reality. It's frightening to think that someone who's just trying to do their job can suddenly become a victim like this. I can't imagine the pain his mother and loved ones are feeling. I really hope they manage to find some sense of peace and justice as the investigation unfolds. It must be incredibly frustrating waiting for a resolution while coping with such a loss.
