I came across some information about Isaiah Baker's case that I hadn't seen discussed much yet. The shooting happened at 3rd Street and 9th Avenue, and I've been thinking a lot about how that specific area is perceived by the community. Does anyone know if this intersection has a history of incidents? I'm wondering if it's a place where people often gather or if there are businesses nearby that could have provided more surveillance footage to help the case.
It just feels like there might be more to learn from the location itself. Isaiah was so young, with so much life ahead of him, and it makes you think about how certain places can sometimes inadvertently become part of these stories. If anyone from Yuma or familiar with that area could shed light on the neighborhood's vibe, it might help piece together more context around this tragic event. My heart goes out to Isaiah's family—I hope they find the answers they're seeking.
So I’ve made some discoveries. Isaiah was dating. Girl named Gabriella Eilers who was actually charged and convicted to 7.5 years in relation to this crime. The incident occurred in the home of a then 22 year old. I’ve canvassed Isaiah’s mother’s Facebook and there is clearly a point when she stops tagging Gabriella, who I believe at the time lived with the mother and son. One year after Isaiah’s death, Gabriella is now Gabriella Diaz, and posted from a new Facebook account very pregnant, as well as a Facebook status that she was in a relationship as of 5/2020. Very peculiar for someone who had lost, as his mother described, the love of her life in 4/2020. The husband, no longer tagged is “Jay Knines” on fb and is the father of her daughter born May 2021. According to me research, she avoided arrest until late 2022, where she was again pregnant by a different man, giving birth to the child while incarcerated after being convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in a case for Isaiah Baker. She is absolutely involved. This leads me to believe she was very involved in his murder, as well as the 22 year old who was the other victim in the incident. My question is if the love of your life is killed, then you pop up married less than a month later, HOW???? Isaiah Baker’s mother is not Facebook friends with the newer Gabriellaa Diaz page. I wonder if she even knows about her sons gf the way she did. I’m sure she knows Gabriella was charged and sent to Perryville. Someone is lying, and I feel like it’s “Gabriellaa”. Sadly, this is where my trail ends.

Wow, thank you for sharing all of this. It’s clear youve spent a lot of time digging into the details, and I can imagine how heavy this must feel. I didn’t know about Gabriella’s conviction or the timeline of events you mentioned—it’s definitely a lot to take in.

I agree, some of it is hard to wrap my head around, especially the shift in relationships so soon after such a devastating loss. But grief and people’s responses to trauma can be complicated, and there may be things we still don’t fully understand.

What matters most is that Isaiah’s memory is respected, and if there are still pieces missing from the story, I hope they come to light in time. Thank you again for your thoughtful effort in following this through—it gives others a starting point to keep asking questions, while staying mindful of the emotions involved.

I've been following the case of Isaiah Baker, and one detail that really sticks with me is the location where it happened—3rd Street and 9th Avenue. It's a spot that most in the Yuma community wouldn't think twice about passing through usually. But now, it holds such a somber significance. I can't help but wonder about the few moments before the tragedy unfolded in those early hours; did anyone hear or see something that could help bring justice? It's haunting to think that a place so familiar can become the scene of such a devastating event. I'm really hoping that anyone who thinks they might have the smallest bit of information feels compelled to come forward. We owe it to Isaiah and his family to find some answers. My heart is truly with his loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable situation.
Has anyone else been following the Isaiah Baker case and looked into the intersection where the shooting occurred? I did some Google Maps sleuthing, and it seems like 3rd Street and 9th Avenue is a pretty regular intersection in a residential area. I wonder if anyone in those homes heard or saw anything that early in the morning. It’s tough thinking about Isaiah losing his life there. I hope his family is getting the support they need from friends and neighbors. It just feels so close to home. If anyone around the area heard sirens or has some thoughts, please share. We all want justice for Isaiah.
