Lewis Blevins, 74, disappeared from his home on Kirk Circle in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, on the morning of May 14, 2026. A retired truck driver known as Bugs, he was last seen on foot heading in an unknown direction without his phone or wallet. His wife was in the hospital recovering from hip surgery and battling a recurrence of cancer when he went missing.

Authorities issued a Silver Alert and said Mr. Blevins has Alzheimer’s, a condition that could affect his ability to navigate or make safe decisions. He was believed to be wearing a black jacket, dark-colored sweatpants, and a black and gray baseball cap. Possible sightings reported to the family suggested he may have been hitchhiking on Interstate 24 in Tennessee or on Highway 72 in Alabama, prompting appeals to the trucking community to be vigilant.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Department or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Did anyone in the trucking or South Pittsburg area see Lewis after May 14?
