I've been following this case closely, and my thoughts are with Sang In Chun's family and friends. I can't help but feel concerned about the safety measures at places like the Inlet Inn. It's unsettling to think that a simple evening turned so tragic due to inadequate security. What bothers me is how quickly such events can take place and the lack of immediate protection for those in communal spaces, like hotel lobbies. I'm really hoping this raises awareness and prompts a review of safety protocols in similar establishments. It's vital that we push for changes to prevent future tragedies like this.
Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about the Inlet Inn shooting back in 2009. It's been some time, but my heart goes out to the family and friends of Sang In Chun. From what I've heard, he was just sitting there in the lobby, completely unsuspecting, and it's just so tragic to think how quickly things turned that night.
I wonder if anyone else here has more information about the aftermath or how the community pulled together in the wake of such an event? It’s stories like these that really remind us of how fleeting life can be. I sincerely hope that those affected have found some peace over the years.
If anyone remembers more details or felt the impact of this event, please share. I think it’s important to keep talking about it, both to honor Sang's memory and see how perhaps justice was pursued in this case.
Sending love to all who knew him.
I’ve been thinking about the Inlet Inn shooting and can’t believe how someone could be so cold-hearted. What really sticks with me is that Sang In Chun, at 76, was just a bystander, likely relaxing and maybe even napping in the lobby when everything went down. Imagine reaching that age and just enjoying a normal day, only to have it end in such a senseless act of violence. It's beyond tragic. My heart goes out to his friends and family who must be grappling with losing him in such a sudden and brutal manner. And for the front desk clerk, that trauma will probably stay with him for life. I hope they catch who did this. These people deserve justice and some sort of closure.
