Does anyone else find it strange that in the letter to Eberhard’s parents, he wrote about not planning to return from their hike? I can’t help but think this wording sounds unusual and eerily final for a couple on their honeymoon. Could it have been a language barrier issue, or is it possible that they had alternative intentions? Maybe they were planning something completely different, like spending a longer time in the canyon, or it was just a poorly chosen phrase. It's also possible they were just caught up in the adventure aspect without realizing the dangers of the canyon. Has anyone come across any info on what their state of mind might have been during those days? It feels like this clue is significant, and yet, we still know so little about what happened afterwards.
