Hi everyone, I've been following Elijah Hawkins' case closely, and something that keeps sticking out to me is the gap between when he was last seen in April and when his details were entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System in June. That's nearly two months! I just can't wrap my head around why it took so long for his information to make it into NAMUS. Did the family face any hurdles in getting it reported? Or is this a common delay with the system? It seems like time is so critical in these cases, especially when we're talking about missing teens. What do you all think? Does anyone have more insight into how these reporting processes typically work?
