I came across this case and can't stop thinking about the sheer recklessness of it all. It’s deeply saddening to see a young life like Bryson Footracer’s cut short at what should have been a fun night with friends. My heart goes out to his family and friends who will never get over losing him this way.
Why do people still think it’s a good idea to bring weapons to gatherings? This was at a vacant house, so it’s not like there was even a legitimate threat that could have provoked such violence. I can't help but wonder, were there any fights or tensions during the party that might have led up to this tragic event?
Also, thinking about the other victim, I'm relieved to hear he'll recover physically, but I can't imagine the trauma he must now carry. I really hope for some sort of resolution for everyone involved and that justice is served soon. If you were at that party or know someone who was, please do the right thing and share any piece of information that could help solve this case. Silence only fosters more of these senseless acts.
I've been following the tragedy that happened during that party near 44th Street and Southern Avenue, and my heart goes out to Bryson Footracer's family and friends. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they're going through right now. As I've been reading about what happened, something that stood out to me is the fact that this party was at a vacant house. How often does this happen, and do the owners not keep track of their property? It makes me wonder if security or a lack of surveillance played any role in how things escalated so quickly. I hope the police can get to the bottom of this soon and those responsible are held accountable. Sending lots of love and strength to those affected.
