I've been following the tragic incident involving Juan Gomez-Amaya and wanted to discuss something that’s been on my mind—the emotional toll on both families involved. It's devastating to think about the ripple effects of this act of violence. Juan’s loved ones are left grieving an unthinkable loss, embarking on a path of sorrow and healing that no one should have to walk. It's also hard not to consider what Anthony Villalpando’s family might be going through, grappling with the shock and complex emotions stemming from his actions. One life is lost, and others are forever changed. Even though justice is being sought, I can't stop thinking about the need for community support and dialogue to help prevent such tragedies in the future. Violence leaves scars wider than we can often see, and I hope the community can come together to support both families during such an impossibly hard time. My heart goes out to everyone affected. ?
