It’s just so disturbing to think about how long Brandon Ray Parlanti’s remains were out there before finally being identified. From the moment they were found in December 2022, wrapped up like that, until the formal identification in July 2023—it must have been such an agonizing wait for his family. I can't even begin to imagine the anguish they went through during that period of uncertainty. The fact that modern technology and forensic genealogy played a crucial role in finally giving him back his name is remarkable and shows how much these advances are needed to bring justice and closure. Has anyone heard how his family is holding up now that they know what happened? My heart goes out to them during such an incredibly trying time.
