Has anyone looked into whether Enrique and Juan may have hitched a ride with someone from LA to Fresno? It's not uncommon for people traveling for work to catch rides with acquaintances or even strangers, just to save money. Maybe they connected with someone who was traveling around the same time. It's a bit of a long shot, but there's a chance whoever gave them a lift could have some info about their whereabouts. I wonder if the investigators have tried looking at local Fresno social media groups or rideshare platforms from January 2016 to see if anyone remembers seeing or hearing about them. Also, Enrique's tattoo is pretty distinctive; maybe someone in Fresno noticed it during those first few days. It might be a slim lead, but they might have mentioned needing a place to stay or work to someone during their travels.
