I've been following Robert Alan Lewellen's case closely, and something that really stands out to me is the fact that he left his cell phone behind. I mean, in today's world, our phones are practically an extension of ourselves. The fact that he left it suggests he either intended to return shortly or something unexpected happened. Given his known transient lifestyle, it seems strange to me that he wouldn't have kept his phone as a means to stay connected, even if he was just planning on being off the grid for a bit. It makes me wonder if he met someone who influenced his decision that day. Has anyone else been thinking about this aspect, or am I reading too much into it?
