Just when I thought the world couldn’t get any more shocking, I stumbled upon the terribly sad case of Miyka Crawford in Coolidge, Arizona. Whenever I see the words "drive-by shooting" and "teenager" in the same sentence, it’s like a punch in the gut. How are her neighbors and friends holding up after such a distressing event happening literally at their doorstep? It’s been a relief to hear about the police moving quickly in identifying and nabbing the suspects. I can't help but think how this shows the community coming together, working hand in hand with law enforcement to try and bring some justice to Miyka's family. But honestly, how do we even begin to heal as a community after such a loss? My heart’s with everyone in Coolidge wrestling with this reality. Thoughts?
