I've been following the case of Imiyah Reed from Eagle Lake, and something that's been on my mind is the role social media can play in these situations. Often, we hear about friends posting about missing person cases online, but in Imiyah's case, there seems to be very little digital footprint from her or her close circle since her disappearance. It's curious because social media can sometimes provide clues or at least help in keeping the public's attention on a case. Could it be that her friends and family are intentionally holding back from posting for privacy reasons, or perhaps at the advice of investigators? It's possible they're trying to manage the flow of information to avoid spreading rumors or interfering with the ongoing investigation. I'm really hoping Detective Skyler Teal and the team have some leads they're working on. It's tough when there's so little concrete information, but perhaps no updates could mean they're working on a strategic line of inquiry that isn't ready for public disclosure yet. Just thinking out loud and hoping every piece of the puzzle they're handling helps bring Imiyah home safely.
