I've been following this case since it first happened, and it still sends shivers down my spine to think about it. I can't stop thinking about the location of the attack. The area of 5th Avenue and Karluk Street is usually bustling with people, even around 6 PM when this went down. It's so hard to wrap my head around the fact that someone could just walk into a camp full of people and commit such a brutal act, then vanish into thin air.
I find myself wondering about the suspect's escape route. If he fled on foot, could there have been witnesses who saw him leaving the area? Maybe someone saw a figure running or someone acting strangely? Also, the randomness of it all is deeply troubling. Why these three people? I've been following the tragic case of Mae Melovidov and Robert Workman for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is the third person who survived the attack.
