I've been following Jay Michael Anderson's case, or Jade, as he evidently also goes by, and I noticed something that caught my eye. There's a significant gap between when he was reported missing and when it got into the NamUs database. He disappeared on January 1, 2020, but the report was officially entered on April 22, 2026, even though it was filed in 2024. Why did it take so long for the case to be entered into NamUs? Could it imply some sort of administrative backlog or perhaps something more deliberate? I’m curious if any of you have seen similar situations in other missing persons cases. It sometimes seems like these delays can have an impact on how quickly and efficiently someone is found. Would love to get thoughts from people who have experience with the system or maybe know more about why such delays happen. Also, it’s concerning to note that there are no vehicle records under his name. Without a car, wouldn’t it limit his ability to leave Palm Springs quickly? It seems like a significant detail that could point to a more localized search required. What do you all think?
