I read that the shooting occurred at a house off Paloma Road and near the I-8, and I can't help but think there must've been others nearby who are now possibly traumatized by the events of that night.
I have been living in that area for a few years, and I’m concerned about the rise in gun-related incidents. This tragedy should remind us all to be more vigilant and advocate for changes to improve community safety. My heart goes out to Melissa's family and friends—it’s unimaginable what they must be going through. I hope justice is served, and we see some positive changes come from this senseless act.
