Has anyone else been thinking about the neighborhood where Jorge lived? It's so sad to think that a community can be impacted this way. I've been reading that the Flowing Wells area has seen a rise in crime lately, but I wonder if this tragedy will be a catalyst for any community action or changes. It's just really hard to wrap my head around the fact that something like this can happen right in people's homes. The whole community must be reeling from this. My heart goes out to his family — losing someone is never easy, especially under such violent circumstances. Does anyone local have insights on how the neighborhood is responding or any initiatives being taken up there?
I was reading up on the tragic case of Jorge Hernandez and something that keeps sticking out to me is the tight-knit community he lived in. It's so unsettling to imagine that such violence could happen in a place where people know and look out for one another. Jorge seems to have been a genuinely good guy, well-loved by his family and neighbors. Flowing Wells isn't a huge place, so I can only imagine the shockwaves his death has sent through the community.
It's deeply saddening to think about his family having to face the harsh reality that a loved one might be involved. I hope they get the clarity and justice they desperately need. I’ve come across a few online memorials for Jorge, and it’s really touching to see so many people come together to honor his life. If anyone from the community is reading this, my heart goes out to you. Stay strong, and lean on each other during this unimaginable time.
