I’ve been following the tragic incident at the desert rave, and I keep thinking about the safety measures at these unregulated events. It’s unsettling to imagine that a night meant for music and community could end so tragically. From what I’ve gathered, the location was fairly remote, which makes me wonder how quickly law enforcement and medical help could realistically respond to emergencies. It’s a chilling reminder of how things can escalate, especially when tensions run high or bad actors are present. My heart goes out to John Bunyard’s family and friends, who are undoubtedly dealing with profound loss and confusion right now. I hope this incident encourages stricter safety protocols at similar events in the future, so something like this never happens again.
