I can't shake the image of Paul trying to shield himself with his hand during those terrifying moments. It shows just how instinctive survival is, and how cruel and shocking this attack was. It's gut-wrenching to think that this happened as he was simply headed to work to support his family, who now have to face life without him. I'm hoping there are people out there who witnessed something that night, however small it might seem, and that they'll come forward to help give Veronica and their little one some answers and peace. If whoever did this is still out there, they need to be held accountable. We all need to look out for one another and try to prevent tragedies like this from happening again. Keeping Paul's family in my thoughts and hoping for some swift justice.

It’s devastating to hear what happened to Paul Albert Lopez Jr. I was reading through some of the details of the case, and I can’t stop thinking about his wife, Veronica, and the day she found out. I can’t even imagine the pain she must be feeling, especially considering they were about to celebrate such a special milestone together.
It’s a sobering reminder of how fragile life is and how violence can erupt so suddenly out of such seemingly everyday situations. I hope with time there’s progress in the investigation and that someone comes forward with information. The community needs to rally and support Veronica and their family, not just financially through GoFundMe, but emotionally too. No one should have to go through this alone.
