I can't stop thinking about the brave police officers who responded to the Mater residence. They must have walked into a scene that would haunt anyone for a lifetime. It hurts to imagine what they must have felt facing such unimaginable loss, especially knowing that they had dealt with something just as terrible only days before. This kind of work is not for the faint-hearted, and it’s a poignant reminder of the emotional toll it can take. I'm hopeful that they have access to the support and resources they need to process what they experienced. Let’s not forget the importance of offering them our gratitude and understanding as they continue to serve our community even through the darkest times.
