Anyone else find it odd how there’s been barely any media coverage on the disappearance of Osvaldo Escobedo? It feels like cases from “Murder Mountain” should get more attention given its reputation, but there’s been almost radio silence. Usually, the area is infamous enough that any missing person case would make bigger waves in the news. I wonder if there’re any specific reasons why his case is being overlooked. Perhaps the fact that he used alternative last names has complicated things for officials and media outlets? Would love to hear if anyone else has noticed similar patterns in other cases from this region.

Has anyone else been following the Osvaldo Escobedo case out of Alderpoint? There's not a lot of info out there, but the fact that it happened in the “Murder Mountain” area has always intrigued me. It makes you wonder about the possible connections to the cannabis industry there. I’ve read a bit about how the industry in Humboldt often operates, especially in more remote areas, and it’s not always above board, to say the least. The lack of leads on what happened to Osvaldo makes me think. Could his disappearance be linked to that, or is it just a coincidence that he vanished from a region with such a notorious reputation? Anyone in the Humboldt County area or familiar with similar cases have insights on how such disappearances typically get handled? Given the local circumstances, I wonder why there's been no progress in the case. It’s been nearly three years, and I can’t imagine how hard that wait is for his family. I’d love to hear others' thoughts or any local perspectives on this.
